Trans-Bridge Lines to Begin Service to Philadelphia

March 1st, 2019 |

New route from Lehigh Valley International Airport (ABE) will begin on Monday, March 4TH

Bethlehem, PA (March 1, 2019) – Trans-Bridge Lines is pleased to announce that it will begin service to Philadelphia destinations beginning Monday, March 4, 2019.

The schedule in place will aim to accommodate those commuters who are displaced by the closure of the Bieber Transportation Group. Since that closure, Trans-Bridge has been assessing what runs would make the most sense for passengers, while providing safe and efficient service. Commuters and travelers were also encouraged to offer their feedback and suggestions via email and social media. This allowed TransBridge to evaluate the need of the service and the scope to which it will be used.

“Trans-Bridge has a long history of responding to the travel needs of Lehigh Valley residents who use bus service,” said Tom JeBran, President of Trans-Bridge Lines, Inc. “We hope these additions to our service will provide convenient options for passengers going to Philadelphia from the Lehigh Valley.”

The Philadelphia service will consist of two runs to and from the city Monday through Friday. Morning runs will arrive in Philadelphia at 7:00 and 8:20 a.m.; with return departures leaving Philadelphia at 4:20 p.m. and 5:35 p.m. Arrival back to the Lehigh Valley will be approximately 7:20 and 8:10 p.m.

From the Lehigh Valley, stops will originate from Bethlehem Transportation Center at 5:50 a.m., Lehigh Valley International Airport (ABE) at 5:15 and 6:00 a.m., Allentown Bus Terminal at 5:30 a.m. and 6:15 a.m., Wescosville at 5:45 and 6:30 a.m., and Quakertown at 6:15 and 7:00 a.m.

While Amtrak and Greyhound Bus cannot accommodate Trans-Bridge as drop-off locations, Philadelphia stops will be at the Market Street Bridge between Schuykill Avenue and North 23rd Street, JFK Boulevard and 16th Street, and 10th between Market and Filbert Streets. A courtesy stop for the Federal Courthouse at 6th and Market Streets will be made upon request.

Fares from Quakertown will be: $19 – One-Way; $133 – 10 trips; $235 – 20 trips; and $330 – 30 trips.

Fares from the Lehigh Valley fares will be: $20 – One-Way; $140 – 10 trips; $248 – 20 trips; and $348 – 30 trips.

These runs by Trans-Bridge, in combination with Martz Trailways, Fullington Trailways and Greyhound Bus service, will provide the Lehigh Valley full service to Philadelphia seven days a week.

Complete schedule with details and fares chart will be available for viewing at the company’s website: www.transbridgelines.com under Schedules & Stops and Fares, respectively.
