25,116 passengers traveled through ABE in August
(Hanover Township, PA) – The summer travel story at Lehigh Valley International Airport (ABE) did not have an exciting conclusion.
COVID-19 continued to eradicate passenger traffic for a third straight month with 25,116 passengers traveling through ABE last month – a 72.2 percent decrease from August ’19.
“During last summer (June to August), nearly 275,000 people chose ABE as their takeoff point. Just a year later, with obvious extenuating circumstances, only 78,851 people traveled through ABE during the same time period,” said Thomas R. Stoudt, Executive Director, LNAA.

By the numbers, United reported a significant passenger traffic decrease of 94.3%, Delta dropped 83.4%, Allegiant was down 67.2%, and American declined by 59.6%.
