76,691 passengers used ABE in April
(Hanover Township, PA) – The launch of nonstop flights to Orlando International Airport (MCO) aboard Allegiant Air only added to a strong spring travel season at Lehigh Valley International Airport (ABE).
Last month, 76,691 passengers used ABE – a 4.3% increase from April 2023.
“We’re excited to expand connectivity for our passengers, and ABE is certainly recognized as a very convenient travel option. The Airport continues preparing for the rush of summer travelers with industry experts predicting record breaking numbers at airports across the country,” said Thomas R. Stoudt, Executive Director, Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority (LNAA).

By the numbers, Allegiant increased 12.5% and Delta passenger traffic remained flat. Meanwhile, United declined 4% and American decreased 4.4% from last April.
Here are some travel tips to remember:
- Give yourself extra time to process through the TSA Checkpoint
- Visit TSA.gov or @askTSA with any general questions or to arrange travel with special circumstances
- If you are traveling with children, double-check their carry-on bags to ensure there aren’t any prohibited items
- Passengers under the age of 18 years-old do not need travel identification if accompanied by a companion
- Boarding begins 30 to 45-minutes prior to departure
- Checked bags will not be accepted less than 30-minutes before departure
