84,747 passengers traveled through ABE in October
(Hanover Township, PA) – New air service added to the positive momentum at Lehigh Valley International Airport (ABE), as passenger traffic reached its highest level for October since 2004.
“There was no trick to these passenger numbers, but it was a treat for us to see a terminal complex with plenty of buzz in October. During the upcoming holiday season, airlines have certainly increased available seats in the market for those choosing to takeoff from ABE,” said Thomas R. Stoudt, Executive Director, Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority (LNAA).
In October, 84,747 passengers traveled through ABE.

By the numbers, Allegiant increased 30% and Delta jumped 10.3%. Meanwhile, American passenger traffic dropped 14.6% with United declining 27% from last October.
Since the start of 2023, the region has experienced a surge of new destinations aboard Allegiant Air. Denver and Melbourne flights are already underway, plus there’s excitement about a recent announcement of direct connectivity from ABE to Orlando International Airport (MCO) in 2024.
“We consistently heard requests from Lehigh Valley air travelers regarding direct flights to MCO. There’s always interest in more capacity for vacationers headed to Orlando theme parks. Now, Allegiant will help us deliver more options,” said Stoudt.
