Allentown, PA – With the impending arrival of Winter Storm Stella, the Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority (LNAA) Administrative Office (3rd Floor) is CLOSED on March 14.

The Airport Authority is preparing for significant amounts of snow which can potentially affect flight schedules and has already cancelled events this week at Lehigh Valley International Airport (LVIA).

“Our top priority is passenger safety, so we encourage everyone to check with their airline regarding any delays or cancellations before leaving for the airport,” said Charles Everett, Executive Director, Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority.

The following event has been CANCELLED for Tuesday, March 14:

  • TSA Pre✓® from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Lehigh Valley International Airport (LVIA). * The LNAA is planning another TSA Pre® open enrollment in summer 2017.
  • CPR Training from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in 3rd Floor Board Room

The following events have also be CANCELLED for Wednesday, March 15:

  • Executive Committee Meeting at 8:30 a.m. (rescheduled for March 23, 8:30 a.m.)
  • General Aviation Advisory Committee Meeting at 11:00 a.m. (New date – TBD)

Current forecasts from the National Weather Service are estimating between 12 and 24 inches of snow will blanket the Lehigh Valley region from Monday evening through Tuesday.

“Unpredictable weather conditions are challenging; the LNAA intends to keep the airport operations running by using every piece of snow removal equipment (snowplows, snow brooms, snow blaster, shovels) and our hardworking staff” said Everett.
