64,679 passengers traveled through ABE in February
(Hanover Township, PA) – Following a terrific takeoff in 2023, passenger traffic stayed steady at Lehigh Valley International Airport (ABE) during February.
Last month, 64,679 passengers traveled through ABE – a 22% increase from February 2022.
“Comparing data from our previous travel year, passenger traffic overall remains ahead of pace which is certainly positive news for the Airport. The next month will create heavy volume due to spring break getaways and vacations,” said Thomas R. Stoudt, Executive Director, Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority (LNAA).

By the numbers, Allegiant increased 37%, United jumped 34%, and American moved up 24.6%. Delta passenger traffic declined 18% from last February.
“It’s important for passengers to give themselves extra time for the entire process – from parking your vehicle, checking-in at the ticket counter, processing through TSA, and then boarding the flight for an on-time takeoff,” said Stoudt.

Additionally, a major infrastructure improvement arrives later this year with the completion of a new TSA Checkpoint and Terminal Connector. This $35-million infrastructure investment delivers the following enhancements:
19,938,011 pounds of air cargo was processed through Lehigh Valley International Airport in February – an increase of 43.9% from Feb. 2022.
