On Saturday, October 14th, the Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority (LNAA) and the Lehigh Valley office of the American Cancer Society (ACS) are teaming up for the “Winged Warriors” 5K Run/Walk on the Runway.

“This truly is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for someone to actually run or walk on the runway, with all the proceeds from this event supporting the unwavering efforts of ACS to help find a cure for cancer,” said J. Michael Dowd, Chairman, LNAA Board of Governors.

Due to safety and security regulations, the field is limited to 200 participants. Registration includes a $25 fee (before race day) and $35 fee (day of the event). You can sign-up by visiting www.flylvia.com. (Remember, space is limited).

This is a “lollipop” course which includes running or walking along the taxiways and 1/3 mile on the runway.
